Karin is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a 2010 graduate from Baldwin-Wallace College. She has been training dogs for ten years and attends numerous seminars and workshops each year to ensure she can provide you with the best information available.
Karin loves working with all dogs, but has a special interest in young puppies, energetic dogs, building confidence, kids and dogs and dog sports. She believes that training can be effective, yet fun for everyone.
She is an APDT Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S) Evaluator, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and APDT member and TAGTeach Level 2 Certified. Karin teaches both group classes and private lessons, including: Puppy Preschool, Puppy Manners 2, Puppy Agility and Flyball, Puppy Day School, Dog Parkour and Fitness, and Space Sensitive Dogs: Beyond the Backyard.
In her free time she loves to backpack, train for parkour, train her dogs and find new outdoor adventures. Karin is a founding director of the Adventure Unleashed Foundation and International Dog Parkour Association. She is also a Wilderness First Responder.
She has two dogs, Caleb and Kevin. Kevin is a 2year old Belgian Malinois/ Border Staffy mix. He competes in flyball and is training for agility, dog parkour and maybe disc. Kevin's favorite activities are playing ball, tugging, playing ball, running off leash in the woods, playing ball, splashing in water and.... playing ball. Caleb is a 8 year old Husky mix. His favorite activities are hiking in the woods, sniffing and naps on the couch.
Karin, Caleb and Kevin live in Columbus, Ohio.
