GROUP DOG TRAINING CLASSES

We offer a limited selection of group classes
We pride ourselves in keeping class sizes very small (between 3-6 dogs) so that your dog is set up for success and you get individualized attention from a qualified instructor.
We keep lecture time to a minimum so you and your dog get the most benefit out of class. Each class is different, so if you are unsure if your dog is a good fit for class, please e-mail us for more information!
Many of our classes are drop-in based to allow for a flexible schedule. This means you can sign up for the individual class sessions that work for you! They do often fill up quickly, so be sure to book in advance if you want a guaranteed spot.
Current Classes
Intro to Sequencing

Dog agility at it's most basic form is a series of dots connected by lines. You can improve your skills and your dog's speed and confidence by teaching them how to read and then drive through those lines.
In these classes, Bree will help you and your dog confidently handle and drive through many common agility sequences. Please plan to crate dogs between turns.
Beginner class is appropriate for for dogs over 6 months who have an understanding of a wing wraps, jumps and a tunnel, as well as focus on the handler. Plan to crate dog between turns
Intermediate class is designed for dogs over 12 months who are comfortable with short jump and tunnel sequences and are looking to build up on these skills.
Dog Parkour Class

Dog parkour combines elements of human parkour and dog agility to create an accessible activity for dogs and humans alike. Dogs get introduced to the world of jumping, climbing, balancing on, going over, crawling under, and going around different obstacles in their everyday world.
Parkour helps with confidence and overcoming fears, and it is a low impact but challenging activity for any canine athlete. With this class, we hope to introduce you to a new way to explore your world and enjoy your dog.
Taking Dog Parkour classes with Adventure Unleashed gives you the best instruction in the sport you could ask for as Abigail and Karin are the founders of the International Dog Parkour Association!
Drop-in classes are offered based on weather and schedule availability.
Dog Parkour Jam and Title Evals

Come join us for some Parkour fun!
No formal instruction will be provided at this event. It's just a time to get together with other parkour enthusiasts at a location teeming with parkour opportunities.
We will explore new parkour areas around the Central Ohio area during these jams. Karin and Abigail will be available to evaluate requirements for teams working towards IDPKA dog parkour titles at no extra cost. Open to dogs of any age, who have some Dog Parkour experience. Must be non-reactive and able to work around people and dogs.
Dog Trainer Field Academy

Looking to become a better dog trainer and have some fun with your dog? Come join us for this one of a kind program!
We will start off with some training games to improve your skills, and then we will head to the woods for a hike to discuss said skills. These games are based on the activities Karin and Abigail developed over the years of teaching a dog camp for teenagers. They are designed to help you learn and practice many of the elements required to be a successful dog trainer, without having to frustrate or confuse your dog! We teach concepts such as shaping, timing, training plans, targeting, stimulus control, behavior chains, how to handle errors, and training under pressure. If you are struggling with any aspect of training, we have a game for that!
Please plan to crate your dog during the training games section, as many of these games are for the handler only.
Focus Around Distractions

Does your dog listen great- until something more exciting catches their eye?
Come join us for our Focus Around Distractions class! This class is for dogs that have basic manners but need some work applying these skills in the real world. It is also a great option for young sports dogs that want a great foundation to focusing in all environments.
If your dog barks at people or dogs you MUST contact us prior to enrolling so we can discuss if this class is a good fit.
Each individual dog will progress at their own pace. Class may be taken once or multiple times.
Novice A Agility - FULL

Dog agility can sometimes feel daunting and overwhelming to learn as someone new to the sport. In classes, you are often surrounded by people who have been training for decades and it's hard to get instruction that's helpful for a beginner.
That's the problem our "Novice A" agility class is designed to solve! This class is for dogs and handlers who are new to the sport of agility. We break down handling into manageable pieces, provide support and feedback as you are learning, and gradually help teach you to analyze courses and make your own handling decisions.
We keep success levels high to be sure you and your dog are both building confidence while advancing your skills. Most of the dogs in these classes started in our Puppy Sports School program so their dogs could learn the obstacle skills from experienced trainers while you learn your handling skills.
Note, all of these classes are currently FULL. Priority is given to students in our Puppy Sports School and those who are regularly attending Intro to Sequences classes.
Flyball Team Practice - FULL

Shenanigans Unleashed Flyball Team practices here at Adventure Unleashed!
In order to ensure that dogs and handlers get individual attention and training time they need to be successful, we do limit the number of dogs and handlers on the team.
At this time team practice is full.
If you are interested in flyball, contact us and we can schedule private lessons or put you in contact with another local team.
