Personalized Training Sessions

Our certified professional dog trainers are dedicated to helping your puppy become the perfect fit for your life. We learn about your lifestyle, preferences, and goalswhether that means a dog who greets guests politely or one who can enjoy relaxed outdoor adventures by your side.
Our curriculum begins with essential foundation skills every dog needs, including sit, down, stay, reliable recall, settling on a mat, and loose-leash walking. As your puppy progresses, we tailor their training to focus on the skills that matter most to you.
These structured training sessions do more than build obedience—they provide meaningful mental enrichment that complements physical exercise. A puppy who is both mentally and physically fulfilled is far less likely to engage in common unwanted behaviors such as barking, whining, chewing, jumping, or biting.
All puppies work on foundation skills and confidence-building such as:
-
Confidence around dogs, people, and new environments
-
Polite greetings
-
Reduce mouthing/biting
-
Trading games to prevent resource guarding
-
Quiet crate behavior
-
Support for successful housetraining
For puppies enrolled long-term, we offer expanded, customized training that may include activities like agility, flyball, parkour, nosework, and trick training. Whether your goal is a well-mannered companion or a dog with an impressive skill set, we’re here to help you get there.
Supervised Playgroups

Each puppy spends the afternoon in a carefully supervised playgroup designed to build confidence and healthy social skills. Puppies are thoughtfully matched by size, age, and temperament to ensure a positive and developmentally appropriate experience.
Unlike large, unstructured daycare environments, our playgroups are intentionally kept small—just 3–4 puppies at a time. This allows for gentle introductions, close supervision, and a calm learning environment that prevents overwhelm and supports positive interactions.
All sessions are overseen by experienced dog behavior professionals who recognize subtle body language and step in proactively to guide play and maintain safety. We have extensive experience helping shy or hesitant puppies gain confidence, as well as teaching more exuberant puppies how to engage appropriately with their peers.
Throughout the day, our team reinforces polite, desirable behaviors in real time. Your puppy will practice greeting people without jumping, using gentle mouths, waiting calmly at doors, and building strong housetraining habits—turning everyday moments into meaningful learning opportunities.
Safe Facility

Your puppy’s safety is our highest priority and our facility has been thoughtfully designed to create a secure, comfortable, and developmentally appropriate environment.
Features include padded flooring to support growing joints, a double-gate entry system to prevent accidental escapes, and a climate-controlled rest area for proper downtime throughout the day.
We also maintain rigorous health and hygiene standards. In addition to strict vaccination requirements, we routinely sanitize all surfaces, toys, bowls, and crates to minimize the risk of illness. Our facility is equipped with an advanced air filtration system to further reduce airborne contaminants.
If you have any questions about our safety protocols or would like more details, we’re happy to discuss them during your puppy’s evaluation.
Socialization Walks

Socialization is about more than play—it’s about helping your puppy feel confident and relaxed in the world around them. Many of our clients enjoy including their dogs in everyday outings, from neighborhood walks to festivals, travel, and more. Our program is designed with that lifestyle in mind.
Each day, your puppy participates in a guided, on-leash walk with one of our trainers. We visit a variety of nearby, carefully selected locations that provide safe and enriching exposure to real-world environments.
During these outings, your puppy learns how to behave politely in public while building positive associations with new experiences. We focus on skills such as loose-leash walking, calm greetings, and waiting patiently, while gradually introducing your puppy to different people, sounds, surfaces, and everyday distractions.
Naptime and Crate Training

Overtired puppies are no fun! Just like children (and adults if we are honest with ourselves), puppies who are overtired are more likely to struggle with behaviors such as biting, mouthing, chewing, and grabbing at clothing. By incorporating age-appropriate rest periods throughout the day, we help prevent these challenges and ensure your puppy goes home content, calm, and ready to succeed.
We also place a strong emphasis on teaching all of our puppies to enjoy their crates. Puppies are gently guided to feel comfortable relaxing in their crates, learning to settle quietly when it’s time to rest. It’s not uncommon for our rest area to be filled with puppies peacefully napping at the same time.
Our approach to crate training is rooted in positive reinforcement. If you anticipate that your puppy may need extra help adjusting to the crate, please let us know during your evaluation so we can create the best possible plan for their success.
Qualified Staff

Your puppy is in knowledgeable, capable hands.
Our staff includes a veterinarian and two professional trainers -- a team that's dedicated to providing exceptional care and training, grounded in both experience and ongoing education.
We are committed to staying at the forefront of modern, science-based training methods. Through continued education and professional development, we ensure your puppy benefits from the most effective and up-to-date approaches available.
Our goal is to make your life easier—so you can enjoy your puppy without feeling like you need to become a professional trainer yourself.
Self Control

We want your puppy to be well-behaved without you having to nag them all the time. This means that they need to have self control (as opposed to control imposed by the human).
We teach puppies to offer the behaviors we want (sit, down, eye contact, etc) in order to get the things they want (food, toys, the friendly squirrel on your walk). This means that instead of stealing food off your counter or stealing your clothes to get attention, your puppy lays down quietly in the hopes that it will get them what they want.
There's no need to use a harsh technique or piece of equipment to teach your puppy how to be polite! With some skill and prior planning, your puppy can be a self control master!
Client Education and Support

Your puppy’s training doesn’t stop at school—your involvement is an important part of their success. As part of Puppy Day School, you’ll receive access to our Online Manners Class, which closely follows the curriculum your puppy is learning with us. By reinforcing these lessons at home, you’ll help your puppy progress more quickly and confidently.
Each day, you’ll receive a detailed report highlighting the skills your puppy practiced, along with notes about their playgroup and overall experience. If our team observes anything that needs your attention, we’ll communicate it clearly and provide guidance.
We also offer follow-up lessons during your pick-up times for families who would like more individualized help. You'll get information about how to book these lessons after registration.
